Huge difference in taste

It's night and day from even the "good" stuff at Whole Foods. Very worth it.

Roasted whole with just a touch of lemon zest and salt. Awesome!

best chickens for multiple meals including bone broth

Primal pasture chickens are great for multiple healthy meals.
The first meal is a roast bird in a pot that I can refridgerate with everything from the roast left in the pot. Second meal is any meat leftover on the bird. Third meal, I add a pitcher if water to the pot all the bones and healthy bird fat and my seasoning from the roast still in the pot and I make the most amazing bone broth. I let it boil down for a few hours, season it up, let it cool and remove all the bones and skin etc. my dog loves this part of the process and gets all the soft stuff. Using that pot of bone broth I can build a great soup or I can pour the cool broth into a few mason jars and use it as needed or just drink it through out the day (It's kind a perfect warm drink). I feel good about these birds and I feel well eating them becasue they aren't full of unhealthy stuff. By the way, (TMI) but I get hot flashes when I eat birds or meats that are pumped full of hormones, and GMO corn etc.

Absolutely will not buy store bought chicken ever again!

This is the finest I've found - true chicken flavor that I remember from my childhood (I'm nearing 70 now...) Will never go store-bought again!!

Excited to get my chicken this way!

After googling several chicken butchering videos, I decided that cutting a whole chicken into individual pieces instead of buying individuals at the market would be a fun thing to try - and I was correct! It was so satisfying turning that bird into some drums, wings, thighs, breasts, and even a stock! My technique needs more practice so I can get the most out of one bird (especially with the stock - didn’t think to roast the bones for that until after), so I’ll be purchasing more whole chickens in the future!
