Mastering Rabbit Processing: Hands-on Training
Farm FridayAbout this experience
Join us for an immersive hands-on experience in our follow-up class, "Mastering Rabbit Processing: Hands-on Training". Led by Danielle, an expert in rabbit processing, this comprehensive session will equip you with the knowledge and skills to confidently handle the entire process of turning your rabbits into nourishing food.
In this class, Danielle will demonstrate the initial processing steps, guiding you through the proper techniques and ensuring a humane approach. Then, in a step-by-step format, each guest will have the opportunity to process their own rabbit under Danielle's guidance. Whether you're a beginner or already have some experience, this class is designed to enhance your understanding and proficiency in rabbit butchery.
Please note that the ticketing system is per rabbit rather than per person. If you wish to process a rabbit as a team or with a partner, you only need one ticket for that rabbit. This allows for a shared learning experience and encourages collaboration during the process.
By the end of this class, you'll have a deeper appreciation for the entire journey of raising rabbits for meat, from the initial stages to the final butchery. You'll leave with newfound confidence and the satisfaction of taking home the meat from the rabbit you processed during the class.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to participate in "Mastering Rabbit Processing: From Field to Table." Explore the techniques, share the experience, and develop the skills needed to transform your rabbits into wholesome meals for you and your loved ones.
Note: Prior participation in the "Raising Rabbits for Meat: A Beginner's Guide" class is recommended but not mandatory.
Your Host
Meet Danielle from Riverview Funny Farm; a small multi-generational family farm working towards sustainability using organic permaculture methods in the hills of Fallbrook.
She started raising meat rabbits in 2013, long before the farm, when her family lived in a suburban community in Oceanside. She wanted a clean affordable source of high quality protein for her young son. A friend of hers suggested meat rabbits and she dove into the project headfirst! Now she loves to share this knowledge and experience with anyone who is interested in trying it for themselves.
