Primal Lamb Shanks
The ultimate "slow food," our all pasture raised, grass fed lamb shanks are excellent when slowly braised in the oven. The meat will be so tender that it will fall off the bone and is a favorite of chefs and gourmet cooks.
Our lamb products are raised at Anderson Ranch in Oregon, and are 100% grass-fed, grass-finished, and pasture raised. They are not fed any grain.
We have ordered meat twice now & the quality is always superb. My husband was very pleased at the tenderness & delicious flavor. MY favorite is the LAMB, it was fresh & not gamey. My husband's favorite is the filet mignon. We are never going back to market purchased meat.
I cooked my Primal Lamb Shank in my counter top oven, then steamed some vegetables. My side dishes were cheese, homemade bread, and half a glass of organic red wine. Delicious! Now, I am left with a nice big bone for my next bone broth recipe. What's not to like?

I managed to slow-cook this lovely cut and made sure not to overseason as I wanted to get that lamb flavor. I was not let down. It was flavorful, tender, and succulent. I knew that would happen considering who I ordered it from.
