The following are some of the most commonly asked questions by friends and fans of Primal Pastures.  If your question isn’t answered here, please contact us. 

What do you feed your chickens?

Our chickens are pastured everyday, all day, morning and night - as well with access to grass, seeds, bugs, worms, and they are also fed a supplemental organic, corn-free, soy-free, non-GMO chicken feed. 

Do you vaccinate any of your animals? 

Nope. Never have. Never will. Ever.

Is your farm organic?

We don't put any value in the term "organic" as we have found it to be an empty term so we have never paid to have our meat labeled organic.   What we like to say is that we are "beyond organic".  

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes, and this includes our eggs as well!

What is the cutoff to receive orders this week?

In order to get your order on any given week, our order cutoff is Monday at 5 PM.

Do you offer farm pickup?

We offer farm pickup on Thursday and Friday from 8AM to 1PM.

What makes your chickens different?

Our chickens live 24/7 outside on pasture.  That is not true for 99.9999% of chickens in the USA, even free-range or organic chickens spend the vast majority of their lives indoors and we rotate them onto fresh pasture daily which completely eliminates the need for vaccinations and helps put manure where it belongs! The feed is clean and our chicken is higher in all vitamins.

Do you offer farm tours?

Absolutely! We would love to have you out to the farm. As a matter of fact, we think that transparency is the true solution to fixing the American food system. Email us at info@primalpastures.com to set up a date!

Do your eggs break when you ship them?

It does happen, however, it is actually rare to have more than 3 because we wrap those little nuggets of gold very well. However, if it happens, take a pic and let us know! We will reimburse you $1 over 6 broken eggs.

Do you ship with dry ice?

We pack all of our boxes with recyclable insulated liners, as well as dry ice.  We calculate the dry ice needs for each individual address to ensure you receive your meat perfectly frozen.  It is very common for the dry ice in your package to have dissipated by the time it arrives to you. As long as the meat is still cold to the touch, the products have not been compromised.

Home Delivery

We offer home delivery NATIONWIDE.

All of our orders are shipped out on Tuesdays.  We pack all of our boxes with recyclable insulated liners, as well as dry ice.  We calculate the dry ice needs for each individual address to insure you receive your meat perfectly frozen.  It is very common for the dry ice in your package to have dissipated by the time it arrives to you.  As long as the meat is still cool to the touch, the products have not been compromised.  

We try our hardest to pack every order correctly, but in the event that you receive an incorrect item, or an item is missing from your order, please reach out within two business days, and we will be sure you are taken care of!  

We have chosen to trust FedEx for all of our orders. You will receive an email within 24 hours of your order being shipped with tracking details. All packages will be left without a signature.  

P.O. Boxes are not accepted address.  Please refrain from entering these as shipping address or risk a delay.  We are not responsible for incorrect address or mistakes when inputting shipping details.  Please double check all shipping instructions before submitting your order.  Holidays as well as weather may delay shipments.  We try our hardest to anticipate these circumstances as they arise, rest assured we will do our best to take care of you. 

We process all orders immediately.  If you placed an order in error, or would like to cancel your order, you have until Monday at 5pm (excluding whole animal orders).  Any cancellation requests after 2pm will not be processed, and your order will be shipped out.  Thank you for your cooperation.

  • $15 for orders $0-$99
  • $10 for orders $100-$299
  • Free for orders over $300 
  • Outside the listed states NATIONWIDE rates apply
