Check it out!  One of the most rare and exquisite fish on the market, this wild caught, local, Hook-and-Line caught Swordfish from the California coast, is offered exclusively here in the farm shop.  This fish was caught by hook and line under an exempted fishery permit, meaning that it is from a trial fishery being tested off the California coast.  The buoy fishery brings back traditional hook and line techniques and rewards customers with the highest quality product on the market.  An added incentive is the low-impact nature of the fishing gear and the near absence of bycatch.   Because the fish is caught by local fishers using traditional hook and line techniques, we think you'll be very pleased with the excellent quality of this fish.  Swordfish is moist and flavorful with a slightly sweet taste. Steaks have a moderately high oil content and a firm, meaty texture.

This is a hook and line fishery, the gold standard in sustainability and responsibility for the future of our oceans.
