Wild Black Cod (Butter fish) Filets
Black cod, which also goes under the names butterfish and sablefish, is a rich white-flesh fish with a moist, succulent texture. It does well grilled, smoked, broiled, poached, roasted, or slow-cooked in a confit. It's high fatty content makes it forgiving to the novice cook. Our Black cod is skin on and also has pin bones.

All of our seafood products are sourced from the Pacific Ocean directly off of California shores, never from Mexico, Canada, the Atlantic, or Asia! We carry only the highest quality and healthiest seafood available from boats that use sustainable practices that allow for the regeneration of our ocean's life. All fish is wild caught, never farmed, and processed in certified facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety. The fish is flash frozen and sold in filets.
These fun-to-cook fish fillets taste great with just olive oil, lemon and capers cooked over medium heat in a covered sauté pan. Yum!
The butter fish is fresh and delicious and open to any seasoning!!
Too thin and bland
although the quality of the product is excellent, this fish is a very soft/mushy fish and we didn't care for it.
Absolutely delicious. Melts in your mouth.
