Sablefish, but more commonly known as Black Cod, is a white-flesh fish, known for its velvety, rich and buttery flavor - which is how it earned the nickname, “butter fish”. Its rich oil content make this fish the highest valued fin-fish per pound in Alaska and the West Coast and is most commonly shipped overseas or sought out locally by high-end restaurants.
It does well grilled, smoked, broiled, poached, roasted, slow-cooked or confit. It's high fatty content (Omega-3s) makes it forgiving to the novice cook.

All fish is wild caught, never farmed, and processed in certified facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety. The fish is flash frozen and sold in filets.
