Our Origin

A family project
three years in the making

As first-generation regenerative farmers, we spent years leasing land wherever we could. Then we found something rare: a 30-acre property half a mile from downtown Murrieta on Washington Avenue, a once-barren field that has since become a thriving organic farm and community space.

The land includes seven acres of Murrieta Creek, nutrient-rich sandy loam soil, abundant natural well water, and a small 1950s caretaker's home. We don't take that lightly.

Our mission is simple but serious: change the future of food and leave the land better for the next generation.

community stewardship

Putting culture back into agriculture

Our farm memberships allow families to come enjoy our garden, orchard and pasture and reclaim their connection to food.

At the heart of the property is a two-acre natural outdoor play and gathering space designed for families and community. It includes open organic green space, fruit trees, a rope swing, soccer field, pickleball court, climbing logs, and a giant slide.

This space exists to put culture back into agriculture. To build an intentional community centered on caring for our bodies, our families, and the land we’ve been entrusted with.

Organic & Biodynamic

Our regenerative orchard includes more than 300 certified organic fruit and nut trees, including peaches, plums, cherries, apples, nectarines, figs, and over 12 varietals of table grapes. Along the fence lines, 800 blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, and boysenberry plants create living borders of food and habitat.

Our biodynamic garden program spans 12,000 square feet and produces organic vegetables, legumes, herbs, fruits, flowers, and medicinal plants, grown in rhythm with the land and seasons.

We also operate an organic flower farm that brings beauty to the property while serving as a vital pollinator habitat.

rotational grazing

Animals that work the land

Chickens, ducks, geese, and sheep rotationally graze across the property, contributing natural fertility and pest control as they move. This mimics how animals exist in nature: always moving, never overgrazing, always improving the soil beneath them.

our commitments

Standards we
never compromise

Primal Pastures' farm on Washington is certified organic, designated as an Audubon bird and wildlife sanctuary, and powered by 99% solar energy. These commitments reflect our dedication to sustainable, regenerative agriculture and environmental stewardship.
