The absolute best way to save money on pasture raised meat is to buy in bulk. That means investing in a quarter, half or whole share of beef, to save anywhere from $300 (quarter share) to a whopping $2,000 (whole share).


For those who are new to ordering meat in bulk, here’s some quick answers to the most frequently asked questions when buying a quarter share of pasture raised beef.

How many pounds of meat do I get?

Average 100 lbs of meat.


Will it fit in my freezer?

Yes…. if your freezer is empty.


A quarter share of beef will take up about 4 cubic feet of freezer space (most of a standard, fridge/freezer combo, or a little over half of this chest freezer).


How much does it cost?

A quarter share of beef is $12 per pound (packaged weight). Depending on the final weight of the cow, you can expect on average:


Deposit: $550

Balance: $650


Total: $1,200

 

You save an average of $3 per pound, or $300 total.

All of our beef products are sourced from Avenales Ranch on California's Central Coast. The cattle roam 18,000 acres, ensuring that the beef is:
